Education with a Sparkle: Sharing My Joy and Passion for the Classroom
I recently completed a book study on The Innovator’s Mindset by George Couros. Now, let me tell you, I’ve never been a big reader. Growing up, I often struggled to remember what I read, and it was tough to find books that kept me engaged. This made staying afloat in school quite a challenge. Fast forward to my adult life, and a later-in-life diagnosis of ADHD helped connect some dots—if you know what I mean!
But this book was different. I read it cover to cover, and I can’t remember the last time I did that. The Innovator’s Mindset wasn’t just a great read; it was packed with amazing insights that truly inspired me to do more. If you know me, you’re probably laughing and thinking, “Megan, what more could you possibly do?”
George talks about blogging in this book and how it creates connections with people around the world. He even suggests that having your students blog can foster valuable connections and experiences. This idea resonated with me deeply, and I’m excited to explore how blogging can enhance both my professional growth and my students’ learning journeys. I look forward to sharing some of his insight on blogging and being a leader in not just your career, but life itself.
